The Ministry of Economy and Enterprise has granted a grant of 2,059,050 euros, which contributes for the Smart Tourism project to be carried out within the convocation of the National Smart Territories Plan. The "Salou Smart Tourist" initiative incorporates a total of 12 components distributed in 4 areas of action: Tourism intelligence, visitor data, visitor support and sustainability and energy efficiency.

Salou wants to take advantage of the attractiveness of its marine ecosystem by means of an activity, a prioress on the Costa Dorada, which consists of swimming along signed marine itineraries. A team of specialized monitors will lead those who want to do this activity, which will be free. The aim is to disseminate the Vias Bravas, marine routes marked for swimming and diving. It is a project supported by the Tourist Board of Salou that aims to promote sport at sea.

Cala Morisca de Salou, next to Cala Crancs, was always a natural area admired by the Salouenses, but they have not been able to enjoy it until now, since it was always in private hands. Mayor Granados inaugurated this recovered space last Sunday, which becomes part of the Camí de Ronda.

The work carried out in the Iberian site of La Cella, in Salou, during the year 2017 shows the municipal interest in consolidating and adapting the deposit . A part of it - the recovered habitats - will be part of the Museum of the Protohistoric Site. The improvements, carried out by the Grup de Recerca Seminari de Protohistòria i Arqueologia (GRESEPIA) of the URV, will allow in a future that the Generalitat contemplates the possibility of including it in the Ruta de los Íberos. It is a request expressed by Pere Granados, mayor of Salou, during a visit to the Iberian constructions near Cap de Salou.

Signaling Camino de Ronda Salou and appropriateness of various trails in Cap Salou completed several years work to facilitate access to one of the least known areas of Salou. Following the coastline you can discover Salou from another perspective and always in contact with the sea.

I Salou Night Race

It will go from the Passeig Jaume I, at the height of the monument, and up to travel 10 miles down the road from Ronda to the Hotel Negresco and back.

Registration can be formalized at www.chiprunning.es at the price of 13 euros per participant in advance and 15 euros the day of the race.

The sports council Salou City Council has joined forces with the company Chiprunning to launch for Saturday November 16th the first night race of Salou. This walk starts from the Jaume I, at the height of the monument, and will travel 10 miles down the road from Ronda to the Hotel Negresco and back. The technical difficulty of the test is moderate . This type of night racing and you can see other places in Catalonia and in the rest of the Spanish state .
