Nature, history, culture, festivals, gastronomy, quality restaurants, high-level accommodation, facilities for all kinds of events, sports both outdoors and in suitable equipment, shopping, leisure, entertainment, beach, sun. All this and much more is in Salou, which has produced a promotional video so that everyone knows that Salou can be enjoyed all year round.
With this video, the Salou Municipal Tourist Board welcomes this year 2023, a key year on the road to full recovery after 2022 with many outstanding positive elements. 'Salou is much more' is the slogan of this promotional work that summarizes the most outstanding elements of the municipality in three minutes and is aimed at local visitors and tourists as well as those from more distant places.
The video has been edited in Catalan, Spanish, English and French. In 2023 it will be screened in digital and traditional media, betting, as was done in 2022, for actions with prescribers and content creators.
In the presentation of the video, the mayor of Salou and president of the Tourist Board, Pere Granados, explained that through the new video "we started a line of promotion that goes beyond the summer, showing that activities are carried out in our municipality during all year round, holding events every month.” Thus, the objective is that "everyone knows that you can come to Salou all year round".
The video has already been screened within the framework of the Paris tourism fair, IFTM TOP Resa and also at various work meetings in Dublin, which have welcomed the promotional proposal.
Finally, the mayor has highlighted the importance of "being economically and socially sustainable, so that people who are dedicated to tourism can have longer employment contracts."
For his part, the director of the Municipal Tourism Board, Marc Espasa, spoke of "deseasonalisation as one of the main challenges set out in the municipality's strategic plan".
In this sense, in addition to communication, the Salou Municipal Tourist Board works to increase the provision of its information services and tourist train for a longer time. The extension that PortAventura has announced of the opening period to 2023 means a turning point and shows how the private sector shares the same objective, joining forces with the municipality.
