Salon "Construïm futur" on intelligent and sustainable construction
Salou. Costa Dorada. 15 February 2020. On February 20 from 9.30 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Europa Hall of the Auditorium Theater of Salou (TAS) will host the “Construïm futur” Hall, organized by the Open Energy Institute (OEI), with the collaboration of Salou City Council and others Companies and entities.
The Hall wants to be a forum for debate and exhibition of proposals for the future of intelligent real estate construction, from a technological point of view, and environmentally sustainable.
The Minister of Territory and Sustainability of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Damià Calvet, is expected to inaugurate the Hall. The planned program includes the inaugural conference "The only possible future: the sustainable one", by the head of the Department of Sustainable Construction of the Institute of Construction Technology of Catalonia (ITeC), Licinio Alfaro.
During the day, various topics will be treated as:
- the new paradigm of construction and rehabilitation, by the general director of RAPEJUN, Martín Vidal-Quadras, and the president of the College of Architects of Catalonia in Tarragona, Joan Tous;
- the circular economy and sustainability with the CEO of Solcam, Marco Segura, and the managing director of SIRUSA, Armengol Grado.
There will also be two other conferences:
- "Intelligent urban planning solutions", by IESE Business School researcher, Carlos Carrasco Farré; and
- "Land and housing policies in Catalonia", with the secretary of the Urban and Territorial Agenda of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Agustí Serra.
The Hall will dedicate a part of the space so that specialized companies can show concrete projects and innovations for their application in the building and rehabilitation sector.
For the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, "this room will bring new ideas about construction, as well as about the structure of cities in the most immediate future, so that they are sustainable, while offering quality of life." The mayor added that "Salou has made a firm commitment to innovation and sustainability, both at the level of the private and public sectors" and has assured that in these areas "it is a leading municipality in Tarragona, Catalonia and Spain".
The mayor refers to two projects: Salou Smart Turístico (Red.es), which will develop a set of actions in 2 years, with a grant of about 3 million euros; and the other is to convert Salou into an Intelligent Tourist Destination (DTI), through the SEGITTUR program.
Granados has added that "Salou is in a phase of renewal", and has set as an example of evolution at urban level all the projects of present and future that are planned and that will increase the quality of life of residents and visitors: the conversion of Carles Buïgas street; the arrangement of sidewalks of several streets such as Terrero, Louis Braille, Burguera, Pujol de Barberà, Josep Vicenç Foix, Dr. Helena Maseras and Ribera and Birmingham; and the Hard Rock project, among others. Granados has especially highlighted the Civic Axis, which will become a space of coexistence in favor of people.
In the presentation of the hall, the mayor was accompanied by the Councilor for Land and Housing Management, Marc Montagut; and by the president of OEI, Robert Moragues.
