Salou. Costa Dorada. 02 February 2025.
The Cos Blanc is a sure success and this 2025 has been demonstrated again. A great organization so that the 50,000 people who have participated in the party, according to figures from the City Council, have enjoyed non-stop, from beginning to end, with the rain of confetti, the music, the light show and the joy that the Cos Blanc spreads every year.
This 2025 has been the second edition in which the Cos Blanc has been held on the Jaume I promenade, and it has been reiterated that the change of location is a success. The 28 participating floats can parade more calmly, the more than 3,000 members of the different groups perform better and the public can enjoy more of the entire light and sound show, which is even more powerful.
A great Cos Blanc
The participating groups carefully decorate the floats and take care of the details of the costumes, which this year have been inspired by the world of film and television, such as Ghostbusters; Beetlejuice; Toy Story; and the one, two, three contest. Classic tales such as Aladdin, Alice or Snow White have also been a source of inspiration for the costumes, or classics from literature such as Don Quixote, as well as other more classic characters such as buccaneers, pirates, Lucifer, sailors, priests and nuns, Indians and cowboys, Mexican Katrinas, Martians or gladiators.
The parade takes place between 29 light towers, with 200 sound points and 250 spotlights, while the musical hits of the moment and other classics of the Cos Blanc continue to play, while the public sings along.
Sustainability and safety
The 25 tons of confetti thrown during the Cos Blanc, from the floats and from 20 cannons placed on the different light towers, are biodegradable. Even so, a protective mesh is placed to protect the beach sand on the other side of the promenade from the confetti.
In addition, as soon as the parade ends, the cleaning teams begin to remove the tons of confetti that amount to a few centimeters of paper on the ground.
Salou City Council also ensures the safety of all participants in the Cos Blanc with a security operation made up of volunteers, Local Police, Mossos d'Esquadra and private security agents, who control access and guarantee the smooth running of the parade.
In addition, special spaces have been set up for people with reduced mobility, located in front of the Hotel Blaumar, and the Punto Violeta and Multicolor, to ensure parties free of sexist and LGTBIfobic aggression.
