Mayor of Salou, Pere Granados
Salou. Costa Dorada. 20 March 2020. The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, has released a video message outlining the main lines of action of the local government in the face of the health crisis of COVID-19 and appealing to the responsibility of citizens to contain the spread of the epidemic.
The literal message of the mayor of Salou is as follows:
Good Morning,
We are in one of the most difficult moments in our history.
As the mayor of Salou, I want to transmit a message of encouragement, strength and solidarity with all people.
The Alarm State has changed the lives of all of us. Now, we must adapt to new circumstances, with determination and courage.
First of all, I want to thank the Salouenses for their attitude and responsibility regarding confinement.
From the Salou City Council, we have created a COVID-19 Monitoring Committee. And we have already been working, responsibly, to meet the needs of the population. Our priorities are:
Guarantee the provision of municipal public services to the population and, above all, those related to the care of families and vulnerable people, through the municipal Social Services.
We have approved a package of fiscal measures to alleviate the economic crisis caused by the viral pandemic worldwide.
Tell you that you can contact the City Council, telematically, via phone or email.
And most important of all is your attitude.
We appeal to your individual and collective responsibility to stay at home, because this is the best measure we can take to prevent the spread of the epidemic.
Thank you very much, a lot of strength, go ahead and good health!
