For tastes, rice

The Gastronomic Rice Days are the first activity of the Salou Food Experience 2025 Gastronomic Agenda, which proposes various experiences throughout the year to enjoy the best gastronomy of the Costa Daurada.

During the presentation of the Salou Rice Gastronomic Conference, christened with the slogan “For tastes, rice”, the president of the Association of Hospitality Entrepreneurs (AEH) Salou, Pep Moreno, highlighted that “if there is one thing that Salou has as a gastronomic cultural wealth, it is that it includes a wide variety of restaurants, and rice is the link that can unite a sushi restaurant, a Thai, a Spanish and an Italian. These are the first conferences that were held, they continue to be very successful and restaurateurs are eagerly awaiting the date for them to begin.”

For his part, the councilor for Economic Development of the Salou City Council, Hèctor Maiquez, noted that “we are satisfied with the celebration of this event, fully consolidated within the local gastronomic agenda of Salou”; and "given that this year the municipality holds the status of capital of Catalan Culture, we want to link gastronomy and oenology to the great cultural wealth, tradition and product of the territory".

Jordi Amell, CEO of the Castell d'Or Group, and the commercial director of Hostaleria de Bayo, Santos Martínez, also participated in the presentation event.
