Annual Meeting of the 13 Repsol Soles Chefs of Tarragona
Salou. Costa Dorada. 01 April 2025. The 13 best chefs from the province of Tarragona, with Repsol Soles and Michelin Stars, met at the Nou Estadi Costa Daurada del Nàstic for the annual meeting of the Expert Council of the Federation of Hospitality Entrepreneurs of Tarragona (AEHT), sponsored by Repsol.
The chefs, all members of the Council of Experts, are:
- Pep Moreno from Deliranto Restaurant in Salou (1 Repsol Sun, 1 Michelin Star),
- Moha Quach from El Terrat de Tarragona (1 Sol Repsol, 1 Michelin Star),
- Joan Pàmies from El Celler de Joan Pàmies from Bellmunt del Priorat (1 Sol Repsol),
- Joan Bosch from Can Bosch Restaurant in Cambrils (1 Repsol Sun, 1 Michelin Star),
- Diego Campos from El Rincón de Diego de Cambrils (1 Repsol Sun, 1 Michel Star),
- Jeroni Castell of Les Moles d’Ulldecona (1 Michelin Green Star),
- Joan Gómez from Restaurante Miramar in Cambrils (1 Sol Repsol),
- Ferran Cerro de Ferran Cerro Restaurant in Reus (1 Sol Repsol),
- Fran López from Restaurante Villa Retiro de Xerta (2 Repsol Soles, 1 Michelin Star),
- Rafael Muria of Restaurant Quatre Molins in Cornudella de Montsant (2 Repsol Suns, 1 Michelin Star),
- Aitor López of Citrus El Cerrado d’Alcanar (1 Repsol Sun, 1 Michelin Star), and
- Joan Capilla of L’Algadir del Delta in Amposta (1 Michelin Green Star).
Manel Ortiz, coordinator of the Council of Experts, defined it as the fundamental pillar for the promotion of Tarragona's gastronomy, since "it is the backbone of our culinary talent and a platform that promotes the knowledge and experience of the region's great chefs."
Popular Tarragona journalist Danae Boronat hosted the event, which was attended by Javier Sancho, director of the Repsol Industrial Complex in Tarragona; Francesc Pintado, president of the AEHT; the aforementioned Manel Ortiz, coordinator of the AEHT Expert Council, and Josep M. Andreu, director of the Business, Brand, and Social Responsibility department of Gimnàstic de Tarragona.
During the meeting, Repsol reaffirmed its commitment to the region's gastronomy by renewing its collaboration agreement with the AEHT, thus consolidating a strategic alliance. Francesc Pintado expressed his gratitude for Repsol's support because "year after year they help us promote the quality and excellence of the province's gastronomy."
Javier Sancho, director of Repsol's Tarragona Industrial Complex, emphasized the symbiosis between the chemical industry and tourism, highlighting that "chemicals and hospitality share the same philosophy of teamwork, innovation, and commitment to quality."
Josep M. Andreu, of Gimnàstic, for his part, highlighted the importance of creating synergies between sports and gastronomy to enhance the region's image: "the connection between sports and gastronomy allows us to strengthen the Costa Daurada brand and position ourselves as a destination of excellence".
