Tarragona Gourmet starts with the I Conference on the Blue Fish

Tarragona Gourmet starts with the I Conference on the Blue Fish

Tarragona. Costa Dorada. June 1st, 2012. Twenty-nine restaurants in the newly formed federation 'Gourmet Tarragona', which comprises three major groups of restaurateurs in the city, ARCS (Seraglio), Tarracogust (center) and ARPA (upper part), set up tomorrow Friday until Sunday 17 June and the Blue Fish Food Festival of Tarragona. Each participating restaurant has prepared a tasting menu of cooking bluefish, with prices ranging from 20 to 30 euros depending on the establishment and the proposal is gastronomic. In addition, each menu is different and has been designed according to the bluefish fishery that occurs in this time of year in the Tarragona coast. Thus, for example, those who want to rediscover cooking bluefish can taste, among other dishes, a bread with anchovy cream glass and tomato chutney, a black cake sardines and onion marmalade, a Tartar mackerel with daikon and wasabi ice cream, a creamy blue cheese and smoked bluefish, a few anchovies Tarragona sauteed with garlic and chilli, curry or an humus and lime, and crispy chips anchovy. The Councillor of Commerce and Tourism, Patricia Anton, said the goal of the Blue Fish and Food Festival "is to value the cuisine of Tarragona made based on fresh, local and quality." In this sense, Anton stressed "the effort that is doing the catering industry in Tarragona city to position the brand as one of the landmarks of culinary tourism." And the Days Blue Fish, which are supported by the Tourism Competitiveness Plan of Roman Tarraco can also be followed through networking 2.0: Gourmet to Facebook Tarragona; on Twitter with @ nick TGNGastronomica; and Foursquare Tarragona Gourmet, which opened a folder with all the participating restaurants, addresses, telephone numbers and booking some photos of the dishes can be tasted during the event.
