 This route will focus on the village of Sarral and will use the vehicle to visit some of the attractions located nearby. Sarral is the fourth population in inhabitants of the region and certainly one of the most active. His industry, agriculture and handicrafts have given exemplary dynamism. Its rich past has the privilege given by the child John in 1383, using as its own shield of Catalonia, one of the most important legacies. The itinerary allows you to stroll through its streets, visit around the village and the opportunity to taste their wines and champagnes or buy handmade pieces of stone. To reach Sarral from Montblanc, take the road towards the C-14 N and turn right (NE) C-241d. Sarral Town famous for alabaster craftsmanship and for its wines and champagnes. It seems that in Roman times, there were alabaster quarries in Sarral. Over the centuries, has maintained the local tradition, one of the most beautiful of which is the altarpiece of the Altar of Poblet. The Cooperative Agricultural Sarral, designed by Pere Domènech i Roure, was built in 1914 and modernist style. The town is of medieval origin and was city of kings. Some of the allegations that are still the street of the Jews (the closest of the state), the tympanum of the Romanesque church (s. XII-XIII) and the remains of old mills (mill Potau). Roman Dike It is NOT located in the town, 1.5 km towards Forès (left-O-T-233 road). It is making a referral to raise the level of the water diverting it into a canal. Hermitage of Saints Cosmas and Damian This church is 1 km from the population (accessed by a track towards SE), near which is the source of the Saints Physicians. In the old chapel, the other Gothic apses, although the present building is s. XX. It was designed by the architect Josep Puig Torne sarralenc. There are an original glazed grill utensils made of glass combined with the peasantry, by Josep Grau-Garriga. There is a recreation and camping area and a restaurant. It makes a pilgrimage on the first Sunday of June. End of itinerary.
