Medieval Feasts of King Jaime I Salou have as main act the procession, headed by the king and his wife Violant of Hungary, through the streets of Salou to the beach from where he left with his army in 1229 to conquer Mallorca.
In the procession involving more than 300 people dressed in period costumes and represent soldiers, nobles, knights, peasants and merchants. The entourage leaves the Torre Vella of Salou to follow the route along the Via Aurelia, part of the Via Roma, Barcelona Avenue and Pier breakwater of capital of the Costa Dorada to reach Levante Beach in Salou .
Once on the beach, about 20.45 h, the royal party and spectators enjoy a battle of arms and a recreation of a medieval tournament. A parliament of King James I and a final show will close this historical recreation on the beach in Salou.
